Wiford Roofing and Siding is Stephen Wiford, working from 3081 County Road 25A S outside Sidney. The listings say over forty five years in business and over fifty years of experience for the owner, and they say fully insured. There is a second Wiford company at the same address on the same phone number, Wiford Siding and Windows, run by Adam Wiford, so this is a family operation with the trades split between them. That is four and a half decades of roofs in one county. Now the part worth saying out loud, because none of it is about the work. This business appears online under three different names. Wiford Roofing and Siding, Wiford Painting and Roofing, and Wilford Roofing and Siding Co, with an L in it that does not belong there. There are two separate business bureau files, one filed in 2002 and one in 2005, and both of them say the bureau does not have sufficient information to issue a rating, which is what a file says when nobody has ever maintained it. Two directories still publish a link to wifordroofing.com, a website that does not exist. Every single profile is unclaimed. The founding date is listed as 1970 in one place and 1977 in another. And in more than forty years of work there is one public review on the entire internet, five stars, left seven years ago, by a Barbara Wiford. A shop this old should have a wall of them.
